What to Expect

What to Expect

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a difficult experience.

Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Torrington Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience helpful preaching and teaching, uplifting music, friendly people, and a place where you can feel welcome and "at home"! Here are some answers to questions that we hope will help you understand what to expect.
What can I expect my first visit?

As you enter our church, look for our friendly greeters who will help direct you and your children to their classrooms or service.
Most adults attend the Worship Service where they enjoy spirited singing with the congregation. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Michael Gleb. This service is a little over one hour in length.

Where do I take my children?

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age. At every service, there is a safe, clean, and highly qualified nursery for children three years old and under. Our nurseries are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at TBT for members or guests. Some of our people wear a more traditional "Sunday" dress, and others simply wear what they feel most comfortable in. The most important thing is that you are able to experience God in a definite and impactful way.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don't invite you to Torrington Baptist Tabernacle for your offering. In fact, we hope you will come so we can give you something. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
